Tips to spread the faith.
When people first think of how or where to use faith quotes, greeting cards and social media posts come to mind. These are for specific audiences — whether one person or a network of friends — but there are other places to use faith quotes, too.
Think of unexpected places to put these quotes to good use. For example, consider:
- Announcements for a birth or engagement that previously seemed unlikely, celebrating what faith made possible.
- Flyers to leave on community boards, like at the grocery store or library.
- Chalk art in front of your home for passersby to see.
- Posters or banners for the breakroom at work to give coworkers something to think about.
- Social media posts inside of group pages you follow to reach beyond your own personal network.
Many people associate faith with a belief in a higher power, while others think of the faith we have in others or in ourselves.
What do you really have faith in, though? Here’s how to get a look behind the curtain.
1. Start by writing down “I have faith in...” at the top of a blank page.
2. Jot down the things you already know you have faith in (if any occur to you right away).
3. Then, review the following categories to see what other things you might have faith in, too. Do you have faith in:
a. Specific personal relationships?
b. Specific qualities you have?
c. Communities you belong to?
d. Institutions or their missions?
e. Systems like medicine or justice?
f. The natural world?
g. Technology or innovation?
h. Education and learning?
i. Art or culture?
