Methodology
The objective of this study was to analyze global trends in generative AI prompting and gauge interest in learning advanced prompting skills. To achieve this, we examined Google Search Volume data for AI-related prompting queries worldwide from January 2023 to January 2024. The search terms included phrases like “best GenAI prompts,” “photorealistic image prompts,” “GenAI prompt generators,” and more, covering text, image, audio, and video generation techniques and styles.
In addition to the search volume analysis, we conducted a survey of 1,000 Americans to assess their interest in AI and their desire to learn more about prompting through training courses or programs. 10% of respondents reported as baby boomers, 22% reported as Gen X, 49% reported as millennials, and the remaining 19% reported as Gen Z.
