What you learned

Lock your artwork to avoid selecting it

You can lock objects temporarily so they don’t interfere with your design process. It’s just as easy to show them when you’re ready.

Group objects and view the contents of a group

Grouping objects as you work makes selecting, hiding, and locating related objects easier. If you need to select content within a group, double-click the group with the Selection tool to enter Isolation mode; and exit Isolation mode when done.

Hide objects to make it easy to select other artwork

When you hide objects temporarily, it becomes easy to access others stacked behind them. You can show all the hidden artwork at once when you’re done.
