Make your online signature match the real thing.

In a world of digital paperwork, a digital signature is a must. There’s no reason to lose days or weeks as paperwork travels back and forth between parties signing documents. E-signatures are secure, fast, and easy. And with Adobe Acrobat Sign, it’s a simple process to capture your handwritten personal signature to add to an electronic document.

See your own signature when you sign.

You can’t put a value on a handshake or an in-person meeting when it comes to the personal connections that foster business partnerships. And while the same would have once been said of meeting to sign a contract, that’s no longer the case thanks to advanced technology that makes virtual meetings possible and signatures easy to capture on any mobile device.

The speed and savings of online signatures are hard benefits to ignore, as well, especially when it’s 21 times faster to get documents signed with e-signatures than with in-person signatures. But for people who still want to see their John Hancock on the page, an auto-signature generator that creates a cursive font version of their name — while legally binding — might not feel quite the same.

With e-signatures powered by Adobe Acrobat Sign, you can add your personal signature to any document with a touchscreen.

If you’re on a laptop or a device without a touchscreen, you can connect your phone and use that to make your handwritten signature. Or use the mouse to draw your signature.

Open your PDF file in Adobe Acrobat.

In the File menu, find and select Sign, and then choose Fill & Sign.

From the available options, select Sign Yourself and then Add Signature.

Take a photo of the signature and upload it to your desktop.

Click the Sign icon in your document and select Sign Yourself.

Choose Image from the options and select the image file of the photo to add your signature file to the document.

Adobe Fill & Sign supports JPG, PNG, GIF, and TIF image files for signatures. If you use the Adobe Fill & Sign app, however, you can simply take your signature photo in the app. Just click the Sign icon, select Create Signature, choose Camera from the options, and snap a picture of your signature.

All of these e-sign options are legally binding and secure. They provide timestamps and can be tracked to ensure that signatures are collected safely and quickly.
