Super retro: arte pixelado y con mucho carácter
Las tipografías son un elemento clave en esta nueva ola de diseño retro-futurista y nostálgico. Durante los años 90 y principios de los 2000, las fuentes se destacaban por sus ángulos marcados, formas geométricas y diseños audaces.
En este tutorial, Ari Marasco propone un ejercicio de síntesis visual en donde además de aprender a darle a las tipografias el estilo Y2K, aprenderás, paso a paso, a simplificar elementos, tomar decisiones de color y transformar formas complejas en composiciones de estilo pixelado.
A partir de un póster diseñado especialmente por ella para este tutorial, comenzarás convirtiendo un archivo PNG (la foto de un celular) en un gráfico vectorial monocromático con estética pixel-art. La siguiente etapa, consta en editar las tipografías para llevarlas de lleno a los 2000: pixelizarlas y aplicarles efectos de movimiento y brillo, cargados de la nostalgia de la época. Las herramientas clave del proceso son “Edición global” y “Crear mosaico de objetos”, dos recursos que, si aún no usabas, después de este tutorial vas a querer aplicar siempre.
