Choose image
Select the image or graphic you would like to use as a pattern. (Hint: Solid black & white shapes work best.) -
Create new layer
With the image selected, click the New Adjustment Layer icon and choose Solid Color. Make sure you choose black. -
Define it
Go to the Edit menu and select Define Brush from Selection. -
Name it
Give your new pattern brush a name. -
Adjust it
Select the Brush Tool in the toolbar to adjust the color, size, and spacing of your new pattern brush.
