The Cumulative Licensing Program (CLP) helps organizations cut costs by simplifying software ordering and administration in several ways. First, it provides a single licensing program membership that is effective worldwide, so you always get the same discount level regardless of location or order quantity. Second, Adobe provides all CLP members with an easy-to-use, web-based licensing site that simplifies licensing administration and record-keeping. The site provides your organization with a login and password for access to comprehensive Adobe software licensing information so you can see your global software licensing status and easily track licensing records.
The Adobe Open Options CLP program offers deep levels of discount. Your first order sets your discount level, and all subsequent orders are made at that discount level. Additional orders throughout the 2 year membership term continue to accumulate points and may qualify you for a deeper discount level.

Affiliate options
CLP offers the flexibility to combine the purchase activities of multiple affiliates to calculate an organizational discount level. Adobe offers two ways for affiliates to participate in CLP; the method of affiliate participation is decided by the CLP member organization.
Member-Listed Affiliate
CLP members may list affiliates as part of their membership. This allows an organization to leverage its buying power by allowing both member and affiliates to contribute toward future discount level attainment. Member-Listed Affiliates share the CLP member's serial number, simplifying software acquisition and distribution. By selecting this approach, members and affiliates participate in CLP with the same Upgrade Plan payment option and have the same designated Adobe License Center. This option is ideal for organizations with a centralized buying environment.
Self-Enrolled Affiliate
Alternatively, an affiliate may complete an Affiliate Enrollment Form to become a Self-Enrolled Affiliate. In this instance, the affiliate places its own orders and receives its own serial numbers for each product. This option is ideal for organizations with a decentralized ordering environment.
CLP discount levels
The more points in your initial order, the better your discount level. And by accumulating points during your membership, you can improve your discount level when you reach the next level's minimum. High-Volume Discount
For all CLP members in the United States and Canada, for Education members in Europe, and for Commercial members worldwide, CLP offers the High-Volume Discount, which provides even higher discount levels if you order specified minimum units of a qualifying product license or Upgrade Plan. (Note: You cannot mix different products in an order to meet the unit minimum.)

Membership Flexibility
- Two-year membership program allows quick and easy order placement of any size at any time during the membership period
- Organizations have flexibility to choose Authorized License Centers (ALCs).
Budgeting Benefits
- Achieve budget predictability through biannual CLP membership and Upgrade Plans
- Secure your discount position for your two-year membership period by placing a minimum order size (two levels in Government, three in Education, four in Commercial).
- Secure your discount position for the subsequent membership period by placing a minimum order at time of renewal. Alternatively, if at time of renewal total orders throughout the two-year membership period are equal to at least twice the point level minimum for any discount level during the two-year membership, there is no minimum purchase required.
- Cumulative program: Incremental orders throughout the two-year membership add to the point total, which could qualify your organization for a better discount level, effective the month following the order.
- Keep track of installs throughout the month and save money and resources by placing only one PO.
Easy and Efficient Deployment/Management
- For additional licenses of pre-installed software with same version number, place orders within the month of the install, enabling installation of software when needed, rather than placing an order (and PO) before each install.
CLP Program Member/Affiliate Structure Benefits
- Commercial program enables organizations to include divisions, subsidiaries, and peers, even if they are worldwide.
- Affiliates can choose to be "member-listed," buying off the same agreement as their Program Member and using the same serial numbers.
- Affiliates can choose to be "self-enrolled," setting up their own affiliate-level agreement and getting their own serial numbers.
- Regardless of affiliate option, all purchases contribute points to the Program Member level CLP membership, with the same discount level applying to all participants in the membership.
- Member/affiliate structure gives commercial entities the ability to buy and be supported locally while realizing the combined purchasing power of the worldwide organization.
- Government and Education programs are offered regionally.
- Upgrade Plan: All coverage purchased is coterminous with CLP membership period. Simplifies license management—CLP membership and Upgrade Plan expire at the same time—Upgrade Plan expiration dates don’t have to be tracked separately.
- Upgrade Plan: CLP membership offers a six month amnesty window at the start of the membership, meaning organizations can "bring in" current version products purchased via other vehicles (shrink-wrap, TLP) and purchase Upgrade Plan coverage on them as well (pro-rated if needed), so that all Adobe assets come up for renewal at the same time.
Requirements and purchasing
To order Adobe desktop software after you become a CLP member, simply contact your Adobe License Center and provide your CLP membership number.
Your discount level is based on the size of your initial order of software licenses and Upgrade Plan. This discount level is applied to any subsequent orders in the two-year membership period. And all orders are cumulative, so additional purchases over the two-year term may qualify you for an even better discount level. (Note: Your discount level is set by Adobe, with the Adobe License Center or reseller determining your actual license pricing.)
