Adobe celebrates 30 years |

December 2012 marks 30 years since Chuck Geschke and John Warnock founded Adobe. First they revolutionized the desktop publishing world with the invention of Adobe® PostScript® technology. This breakthrough helped automate all aspects of printing and publishing, transforming the publishing industry entirely.
That revolution was followed by more milestones in the areas of design with Adobe Illustrator®, digital photography with Adobe Photoshop®, and layout with Adobe InDesign® software. They also developed Adobe Acrobat® software, which enabled reliable, accurate sharing and printing of electronic documents for the first time, a key driver to early growth of business and communication over the Internet.
In 2000, John and Chuck moved into full-time roles as co-chairmen of the board. They have continued to oversee the company's transformation and expansion into new business areas, including digital marketing.
