Professional and educational biography

Greg Hodgson has been teaching new media since the late 1990s, when he became convinced of its potential for unleashing student creativity, engaging the disengaged, and significantly raising faculty attainment levels. Working closely with government bodies and examination boards, Hodgson developed a pioneering digital art course that successfully blended virtual learning, Adobe® Acrobat® Connect™ Professional meetings, and Adobe Captivate® reusable learning resources. Hodgson has witnessed many once-unmotivated and low-achieving pupils, including those with significant learning difficulties, blossom when creating animation and interactive media supported by online learning. He says the improvement is unlike any he has seen in the context of traditional classroom instruction.

In addition to teaching full time, Hodgson regularly advises, presents, and trains across the U.K. on the best ways to implement digital media in the classroom. He is involved in various projects such as remotely teaching Adobe Photoshop® and Flash® to K-8 students in the U.S.
