The Adobe Authorware Mac Player allows Authorware applications created in
Authorware versions 5.1 through 7.0 for Windows to be delivered on the
Apple Macintosh platform.
The
player comes in two versions:
- An Authorware Web Player for delivering learning applications over the Web
- A stand-alone run-time player for delivering on LANs and CD-ROM
Adobe also provides a utility called the Authorware Packager, which provides additional Macintosh-specific capabilities such as run-time packaging and packaging with fonts.
Note: The Mac Packager needs to be downloaded and installed on a Macintosh computer.
The Mac Player enables Authorware developers to deliver cross-platform learning applications on the Web, LANs, or CD-ROM.
