Description

As a part of the Macromedia Innovation Program, The Macromedia eLearning Award recognizes excellence in instructional content created with Macromedia products. The eLearning Innovation program encourages the development of computer and web-based instruction, promotes the exchange of ideas and examples of innovative applications and reward and provides exposure to authors of outstanding instructional content.

Prizes

Prizes Include: A Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC, choice of Macromedia client authoring software, and recognition on the Macromedia website.

Criteria

One winner will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • Corporate: Innovative elearning content, applications or solutions developed by or for the use of a corporation. Entries must be developed using a Macromedia product or any combination of Macromedia products, including but not limited to Authorware, ColdFusion, Director, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Macromedia Flash, or Freehand.
  • Government: Innovative elearning content, applications or solutions developed by or for a government organization. Entries must be developed using a Macromedia product or any combination of Macromedia products, including but not limited to Authorware, ColdFusion, Director, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Macromedia Flash, or Freehand.
  • Rapid E-learning: Innovative use of Breeze-based solutions for collaboration or dissemination of time critical information, regardless of the affiliation of the developer or end-user. Entries must be developed using Macromedia Breeze or Macromedia Breeze Live alone or with additional Macromedia products, including but not limited to Authorware, ColdFusion, Director, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Macromedia Flash, or Freehand.

Winners will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • Creativity/Ingenuity
    Is the submission aesthetically pleasing? Is it in good taste? Is it creative, unique and inventive? Is it beyond the typical?
  • Instructional Design/Functionality
    Does the submission achieve its instructional goals? Is it intuitive and easy to use?
  • Technical Achievement
    Does the submission maximize or extend the use of the Macromedia tool? Does it make use of multiple media and promote user interactivity?

Macromedia staff and selective external evaluators, whose decisions are final and binding, will evaluate all submissions. Entrants may submit more than one entry. Each entry can be submitted in one category only.
