How to use Content-Aware Fill in Photoshop.
- Select the object
Use the Object Selection tool to click the object or person you want to remove. Hold Shift to select multiple objects at once. - Erase it with Content-Aware Fill
Right-click and select Content-Aware Fill. Use Subtract mode to brush over areas you don’t want to sample from, such as people or background objects. - Duplicate your selection
Change the Output Settings to Duplicate Layer to preserve the original image. - Refine the results
Right-click and choose Deselect to uncouple from your selection. Use the Spot Healing Brush tool to erase any remaining traces.
How to remove a person from a photo?
Removing people from a photo follows the same steps as above, but requires a bit more care to preserve backgrounds and natural edges. Use the Object Selection tool to select the person, right-click and choose Content-Aware Fill, then refine with the Spot Healing Brush tool for a seamless result.
