Open or download the latest version of Photoshop to access the most current generative AI features.
Open an image or click Import image in the Contextual Task Bar.
Go to the options bar and click Image > Generative Upscale.
Select a model to use from the available options (Firefly Upscaler, Topaz Gigapixel and Topaz Bloom) Note: Topaz Gigapixel and Topaz Bloom are only available to user with premium subscriptions.
A new window will open to set the desired output scale (2x or 4x) and adjust parameters where available.
Click Upscale. A separate upscaled image will be generated in a new document with an updated name.
Tip: For sharper results, combine the Generative Upscale feature with other Photoshop tools, such as the Unsharp Mask filter, to improve sharpness of photos.
