파일 > 저장 또는 파일 > 다른 이름으로 저장을 선택합니다.
InDesign(INDD) 포맷으로 저장하여 레이어, 문자 등 편집 가능한 InDesign 콘텐츠를 유지합니다. 작업하는 동안 InDesign 포맷으로 문서를 저장하는 것이 가장 좋습니다.
파일 > 다른 이름으로 저장을 선택하고 IDML을 선택하여 CS4부터 이전 버전의 Adobe InDesign과 역호환되는 파일로 프로젝트를 저장합니다.

문서 창(중앙에 위치)에는 현재 작업 중인 파일이 표시됩니다. 여러 개의 문서를 열면 문서 창에서 탭으로 나타납니다.
메뉴 막대(맨 위에 위치)에는 파일, 편집 등 여러 메뉴가 있으며 다양한 명령, 조정, 설정 및 패널을 이용할 수 있습니다.
툴 상자(왼쪽에 위치)에는 아트웍을 만들고 편집하기 위한 툴이 포함되어 있습니다. 유사한 툴이 그룹으로 구성되어 있습니다. 툴 상자에서 툴을 클릭하고 길게 누르면 이용할 수 있습니다.
패널(오른쪽에 위치)에는 속성, 페이지, CC Libraries가 있으며 문서를 사용하여 작업하기 위한 다양한 컨트롤이 포함되어 있습니다. 창 메뉴에서 패널의 전체 목록을 찾을 수 있습니다.
