Learn how to build a layered photoshop file. Pay attention to structure while naming your layers.
Select import, import to stage from the file menu. This will place your layers directly on to your stage, your canvas.
Make sure the layers will be imported as animate layers.
Notice that all the names of the original Photoshop file maintain the same in the Animate timeline panel.
