Sr. Value Engineer


The Challenge

Value Engineering is an established domain of expertise within Adobe which has dedicated professionals engaging with C-level executives to help them articulate potential financial and organizational returns enabled by their Digital Marketing initiatives. A cross-regional community of Value Engineers exists to share best practices and tools of this domain.
The successful Senior Value Engineer's profile will contain a mix of sales support, consulting and financial acumen, and be focused on realizing the vision of a global, premier software brand looking to transform the world of Digital Marketing. This role contributes to software sales opportunities in Japan by bringing an organizational value perspective to strategic content creation targeted at a business audience, helping you build expertise across industries and solutions.
Reporting into the Solution Consulting (pre-sales) organization, the Senior Value Engineer will work with Field Sales and Account Management to drive business value focused engagements. He/she will support the overall sales cycle, from account planning to renewal. He/she will collaborate with cross-functional regional and global teams to understand customer business objectives, and develop compelling value propositions with input from sales, solution, industry and consulting experts.
He/she will then present the findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.



What you'll do

  • Collaborate with Sales/ Solution Consultant/ Industry Experts in Japan and globally to determine and communicate to customers the business value that supports successful opportunity close, project delivery, and customer satisfaction
  • Evangelize and support value initiatives across external customer and internal teams
  • Develop high quality industry-specific business cases and related content for a CXO-level audience including determination of process improvement best practices
  • Perform strategy, financial, and peer analysis
  • Contribute to creation of industry and solution value propositions and white papers
  • Enable internal teams on value methods and content


What you need to succeed

  • Expert Japanese and English written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent strongly preferred
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience
  • Solid business case creation, analysis and research experience
  • Good understanding of Digital Marketing
  • Knowledge of Adobe Digital Marketing solutions would be a definite plus
  • Experience leading workshops and/or facilitating meetings with demonstrated ability to present to an executive audience
  • Ability to travel up to 40%
  • Strong team orientation
  • Ability to establish priorities and proceed with objectives independently
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams in different geographies
  • Strong computer acumen specializing in various functions including spreadsheets, graphics, word processing, etc.
