How to go from 3D to 2D — or 2D to 3D — with Project Neo (beta) and Illustrator.

Create complementary dimensional and vector designs using familiar tools.

Open the Project Neo web app and start creating volumetric designs using familiar concepts such as shape building. To start editing a vector design, click the Import SVG button and select the Illustrator file you want to edit.
Use the Properties panel to blend shapes together and make adjustments to elements such as colour, shape and more.
Use Style effects to apply new looks to your design such as Realistic or Vector Art and to adjust the outline colour and thickness.
Use the slide rule at the top of your workspace to change the perspective and shadows.
To quickly create design variations based on your artwork, use Scene to image, located in the Contextual Task Bar.
Once you’re ready to edit your artwork in Illustrator, set the Style of your design to either Vector Art or Pixelated.
Use the Frame tool in the Contextual Task Bar to frame your design, making any adjustments to perspective or hiding any elements for a cleaner look before you export it.
Click the Share button and select Send to Illustrator as vectors. Your design will automatically open inside Illustrator as a fully editable, scalable vector which you can immediately begin applying to branding, mockups and more.
