Paden bestaan uit ankerpunten die zijn verbonden met lijnsegmenten.
Met het gereedschap Selecteren in het deelvenster Gereedschappen selecteer je paden om ze te bewerken. Er verschijnt een kader rond het hele pad, zodat je het kunt transformeren.
Het gereedschap Direct selecteren in het deelvenster Gereedschappen wordt gebruikt om ankerpunten en paden te selecteren.
Een gebogen pad wordt bestuurd via een ankerpunt met richtingshandgrepen. Met de richtingshandgrepen bepaal je de vorm van de boog.
Vormen zijn gesloten paden omdat alle ankerpunten op het pad zijn verbonden.

Tekenen met het potlood

Klik op het gereedschap Penseel in het deelvenster Gereedschappen en selecteer het gereedschap Potlood in het menu dat verschijnt.
Dubbelklik op het gereedschap Potlood om gereedschapsopties in te stellen.
Sleep in het document om een pad te maken met het gereedschap Potlood.
Teken het pad en zorg dat je weer bij het begin van het pad uitkomt om het pad te sluiten en een vorm te maken.
Plaats het gereedschap Potlood op het pad om een gedeelte van het pad opnieuw te tekenen. Sleep om het gedeelte opnieuw te tekenen en zorg dat je weer op het bestaande pad uitkomt.
Om een recht pad te tekenen met het gereedschap Potlood, houd je Alt (Windows) of Option (macOS) ingedrukt tijdens het slepen.

Selecteer het gereedschap Kromming in het deelvenster Gereedschappen.
Klik om ankerpunten in een pad in te stellen. Standaard worden gebogen paden gemaakt met de ankerpunten.
Als je een recht pad wilt maken met het gereedschap Kromming, dubbelklik je om een ankerpunt in te stellen of dubbelklik je op een bestaand ankerpunt om het pad recht te maken.
Om punten aan een pad toe te voegen, plaats je de aanwijzer op het pad. Wanneer een plusteken (+) naast de aanwijzer verschijnt, klik je om een punt in te stellen.
Sleep ankerpunten om ze te verplaatsen.

Selecteer het gereedschap Selectie in het deelvenster Gereedschappen. Klik op, of sleep over een vorm om deze te selecteren.
Selecteer het gereedschap Direct selecteren in het deelvenster Gereedschappen om de ankerpunten van een pad te bewerken. Klik op de rand van een pad om de ankerpunten weer te geven. Sleep een ankerpunt om te zien hoe de vorm verandert. Sleep een pad om de gebogen lijn aan te passen als het onderdeel is van een gebogen pad. Sleep een pad om het pad te verplaatsen als het onderdeel is van een recht pad.
Selecteer het gereedschap Kromming in het deelvenster Gereedschappen om bestaande paden te bewerken. Dubbelklik op een ankerpunt om een recht pad te converteren naar een gebogen pad en andersom. Plaats de aanwijzer op een pad en klik wanneer een plusteken (+) naast de aanwijzer verschijnt om een ankerpunt toe te voegen.
