Building security into our products and services.

Our proactive approach to data security extends to every corner of the company. It affects every phase of development from product inception through delivery, and it enhances your experience each time you use an Adobe product or service. We believe that every data action or interaction should be conducted through a lens of security to help ensure the safety, privacy, and availability of our customers' data.

Adobe Secure Product Lifecycle (SPLC)

Our product and service organizations use the Adobe Secure Product Lifecycle (SPLC) process, a set of several hundred rigorous security activities spanning software development practices, processes, and tools. The Adobe SPLC is integrated into several stages of the product lifecycle, from design and development to quality assurance, testing, and deployment. ASSET security researchers provide specific SPLC guidance for each key product or service.

Adobe security teams

A dedicated team of industry experts in building, deploying, and monitoring secure applications and services, the Adobe Secure Software Engineering Team (ASSET) works with individual Adobe product security and operations teams to help achieve the highest level of security for Adobe products and services. ASSET experts consult with development teams to advise on security best practices and create clear, repeatable, cross-functional processes for development, deployment, operations, and incident response.

Security training

A key part of the Adobe SPLC, the ASSET Software Security Certication Program includes ongoing training within engineering and operations teams to enhance security knowledge throughout the company and help improve the overall security of our products and services. The program provides a foundation for everyone at Adobe to understand security fundamentals, and it serves as a path for individuals who want to become security leaders. Participants achieve different certication levels called “belts” after completing in-person and online training as well as custom security projects.
