Selecteer Afbeelding > Aanpassingen > Helderheid/contrast in de menubalk.
Sleep de schuifregelaar Helderheid om de algehele helderheid van de afbeelding te wijzigen. Sleep de schuifregelaar Contrast om het contrast in de afbeelding te verhogen of te verlagen.
Klik op OK. De aanpassingen zijn alleen zichtbaar in de geselecteerde laag.

Selecteer Afbeelding > Aanpassingen > Levendigheid in de menubalk.
Experimenteer door de schuifregelaars te slepen. Met de schuifregelaar Levendigheid pas je de intensiteit van kleuren aan. Deze regelaar heeft het grootste effect op fletse kleuren in de afbeelding. Met de schuifregelaar Verzadiging verhoog je de kleurintensiteit van alle kleuren in de afbeelding.
Klik op OK als je klaar bent.

Selecteer
Afbeelding > Aanpassingen > Kleurtoon/verzadiging in de menubalk.
Experimenteer door de schuifregelaars Kleurtoon, Verzadiging en Lichtheid te slepen. Je wijzigingen worden toegepast op alle kleuren in de afbeeldingen. Met de schuifregelaar Kleurtoon wijzig je de kleuren in een afbeelding. Met de schuifregelaar Verzadiging pas je de intensiteit van kleuren in een afbeelding aan. Met de schuifregelaar Lichtheid pas je de helderheid van kleuren in een afbeelding aan.
Als je alleen een bepaalde kleur wilt aanpassen met deze regelaars, ga je eerst naar de vervolgkeuzelijst linksboven in het dialoogvenster Kleurtoon/verzadiging en kies je een kleurbereik, zoals Gele tinten. Vervolgens sleep je de schuifregelaars Kleurtoon, Verzadiging of Lichtheid
. Deze wijzigingen worden alleen toegepast op het geselecteerde kleurbereik, overal waar die kleur in de afbeelding voorkomt.
Klik op OK als je klaar bent.

Wat je hebt geleerd: een aanpassingslaag toevoegen
Met aanpassingslagen beschik je over flexibele bewerkingsmogelijkheden. Zo kun je aanpassingen bewerken die je eerder in een afbeelding hebt aangebracht. Dankzij aanpassingslagen worden wijzigingen niet rechtstreeks in de originele afbeelding aangebracht. Probeer de aanpassingslaag Zwart-wit uit om te zien hoe aanpassingslagen werken.
Selecteer in het deelvenster Lagen een afbeeldingslaag die je wilt aanpassen.
Klik onder in het deelvenster Lagen op het pictogram Nieuwe opvullaag of aanpassingslaag maken en selecteer Zwart-wit in de vervolgkeuzelijst. In het deelvenster Lagen verschijnt een nieuwe aanpassingslaag boven de afbeeldingslaag die je hebt geselecteerd. Met deze aanpassingslaag worden alleen de onderliggende lagen aangepast.Het deelvenster Eigenschappen wordt automatisch geopend. Dit deelvenster bevat de regelaars voor deze aanpassing.
Voor de verschillende soorten aanpassingslagen worden verschillende regelaars weergegeven in het deelvenster Eigenschappen.
Zorg dat de aanpassingslaag Zwart-wit is geselecteerd in het deelvenster Lagen en sleep de regelaars in het deelvenster Eigenschappen om in te stellen hoe de afbeelding van kleur naar zwart-wit wordt geconverteerd.
Experimenteer door de schuifregelaars te slepen. Klik op de dubbele pijl rechtsboven in het deelvenster Eigenschappen om het deelvenster te sluiten als je klaar bent.
