Adding life to the Focus OMR website and helping capture untapped markets

In the beginning, Focus OMR had a static website and ordinary PowerPoint presentations to help sell the company's products and services to customers nationwide. But in late 2002, with the onset of multimedia capabilities expanding and customers demanding more dynamic content, Focus OMR sought a solution that would help set it apart from the competition by delivering video-based sales presentations, follow-ups, and new client outreach. They also wanted to add a more dynamic look and feel to their website by including multimedia video content.

Incorporating video into the plan

Knowing video was the way to go for meeting its goals, Focus OMR experimented with a local production house. "We tried a production house for a while, but it was costing us two thousand dollars a day just for a trial period," said Cliff Sadler, chief information officer and vice president of channel development for Focus OMR. "What we quickly learned was that we were paying for facilities that could produce film-quality content, but that did not match our delivery format of Internet streaming and interactive eLearning. We were effectively throwing money at capabilities that we weren't going to utilize. We had to find a more cost-effective solution with some way to reduce the production turnaround."

After their eye-opening experience with the production house, Focus OMR began its search again for a solution that could help it easily create visually compelling videos in-house that weren't boring. They found Visual Communicator to be an ideal solution.

Video made easy

Allowing Focus OMR to create two videos a day, Visual Communicator doesn't require expensive cameras and lighting to get professional-quality videos produced. With Visual Communicator, Focus OMR can reach a broader audience without incurring travel cost. And the response the company gets with its new videos is amazing. According to Mr. Sadler, "The response from customers is just as good as if we were actually there providing the sales presentation in person."
