Using web services in Macromedia JRun 4
Macromedia JRun lets you publish and consume "web services," business functions made universally available over the Internet. Web services provide platform- and location-independent computing using Extensible Markup Language (XML) and standard Internet protocols, such as Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). By allowing previously incompatible applications to interoperate over the web regardless of language, platform, or operating system, web services create new business opportunities and help companies adapt to changing business relationships.
