Step 1

Open Firefly video generator or create a Board.

Log in to Adobe Firefly with your Adobe ID or create a free account if you don’t have one. Click Generate Video and select the Edit tab. Or go to Firefly Boards and click Create New to start a new workspace for video upscaling.

Step 2

Add or generate your video clips.

Import existing low‑resolution or legacy clips or generate new AI video clips from text prompts. If you’re in Firefly Boards, place those clips on the Board.

Step 3

Select the clip and open Upscale with Topaz Astra.

In Firefly, select Upscale from the Quick Actions menu. In Firefly Boards, select a video clip and use the Upscale with Topaz Astra option in the editing toolbar.

Step 4

Choose your upscaling settings.

Review the settings in the Upscale panel. Select your preferences for Mode (Precise or Creative), performance (Speed or Quality) and output resolution (1080 p or 4K).

Step 5

Generate and review your upscaled video.

Click Generate to run the upscale, can continue working while it processes and then compare the upscaled result to the original, tweaking settings if the result looks too sharp or stlylised.

Step 6

Download your clip.

Download the upscaled video as an MP4, send it to Premiere or the Firefly video editor for more editing or keep it in Firefly Boards to combine with other clips.
