Use generative AI and simple text prompts to create AI characters quickly. Use detailed descriptions with adjectives like "friendly gray-and-white cat in a frilly blue dress" or genres like "anime style". Add additional descriptive words to your prompt to adjust shape, attitude, and more. The more specific your prompt, the more accurate your results will be. You can keep refining your character with the AI image editor or the AI video generator, applying subtle edits to lighting, texture, color, and more.

How to create an AI generated character.

To get started using the AI character generator, log in to Firefly with your Adobe account or sign up for an Adobe account. Navigate to the Generate tab and select Generate Image or Generate Video to start creating your AI character.

Type in your character design description. Your prompt should be as specific as possible to describe your character's hair, outfits, facial features, and more. If you are making a video, include motion direction such as style, angle, effects, environment, and any other elements to generate what matches your vision. You can also upload an image you want Firefly to animate and use a text prompt to direct how the still image should move, transform, or come to life.

Adjust your prompt or try different movements to achieve the desired look, or use the Color and Tone, Lighting, and Composition menus to add more direction. Enhance the image by adjusting its color levels and adding filters, animation effects, graphics, and more.

When you’re satisfied with your prompt, click Generate. The AI generated character results will appear shortly. Adjust your prompt until you are happy with your results, or use the Enhance Prompt tool in Firefly for further prompting ideas.

Save and download your AI character. Include it in your other projects and share them online straight from Adobe Firefly.
