Whether you want to hold on a shot of a character’s face for an extra beat or keep the sound of screeching tires from a car chase in the background, it’s easy to generate more footage or audio and keep edits distraction free.
Now you don’t have to use slow motion or duplicate single frames to extend a shot. With Generative Extend, you have the power to blend scenes together even when you run out of media.
Adjust the length of a clip on your timeline as easily as rippling and rolling an edit point. Generated sequences will always be labeled, so you know exactly where the original footage ends and created frames begin.
Generative Extend is powered by commercially safe Adobe Firefly generative AI and only trained on content where Adobe has permission — such as Adobe Stock and public domain content where copyright has expired — and never on Adobe users’ content.
Easily extend video and audio clips following these quick steps:
Start by logging into Premiere.
Identify a clip in your sequence you'd like to extend. Video clips should be at least 2 seconds long, while audio clips must have a minimum duration of at least 3 seconds.
Select and drag the edge of a video or audio clip to the desired length.
When your extension is complete, the AI-generated frames will be labeled in your timeline.
