Create consistent images at scale with Adobe Firefly Custom Models.
With the new public beta, you can upload your own images to train custom AI models that capture your signature style, and then generate consistent concepts and variations directly in Firefly and Firefly Boards.
Firefly is available in the Creative Cloud tools your teams already use, and with new APIs and Custom Models you can quickly create and deliver on-brand content at scale.
Adobe Firefly is family of creative generative AI models. Features powered by Firefly are embedded in Adobe’s flagship apps and Adobe Stock.
Firefly is the natural extension of the technology Adobe has produced over the past 40 years, driven by the belief that people should be empowered to bring their ideas into the world precisely as they imagine them.
Generative AI is a type of artificial intelligence that can translate text and other inputs into extraordinary results. While the conversation around this technology has centered on AI image and art generation, generative AI can do much more than generate static images from text prompts. With a few simple words and the right AI generator, anyone can create videos, documents, and digital experiences, as well as rich images and art. AI art generators can also be useful for producing “creative building blocks” like brushes, vectors, and textures that can add to or form the foundation of pieces of content.
As part of our work to design Firefly to be commercially safe, we trained our first Firefly model on licensed images from Adobe Stock and public domain content where copyright has expired.
We perform internal testing on our generative AI models to mitigate against any harmful biases or stereotypes. We also provide feedback mechanisms so users can report potentially biased outputs and we can remediate any concerns.
In addition, Adobe is committed to building trust and transparency into digital content with Content Credentials. Content Credentials function as a digital "nutrition label" that can show important information about how and when content was created and modified, including whether and how AI was used. Adobe automatically attaches Content Credentials to images created in Firefly to show that they were AI generated. This level of transparency gives creators a way to authenticate their content and helps consumers make informed decisions about content they see online.
This is the mission behind cross-industry coalition the Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI). The CAI was co-founded by Adobe in 2019 and now counts more than 3,300 members including tech companies, news organizations, NGOs, academia and more. The CAI works alongside the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) industry standards organization, which developed the technical specification for provenance technology used in Content Credentials.
We believe the best AI text-to-image and text-to-video generators help creators go from prompt to polished images and videos fast, without sacrificing creative control. Adobe Firefly and Adobe partner models make this easy with intuitive features that allow you to turn text prompts into images and videos, turn images into videos, generate sound effects, and collaborate in Firefly Boards.
Firefly offers enhanced visual effects, brand safety, generated images with higher quality, more detail, and improved lighting and color, and deep creative control. It supports the use of industry-leading partner models for images, video, and vectors, as well as cinematic output, real motion elements, and Adobe integration.
Log in to Firefly and select Text to Video or Image to Video. Write a text prompt that includes details like style, angle, effects, and subjects, or upload an image and add a prompt to bring it to life. Click Generate to create your video, then refine by adjusting settings such as aspect ratio, camera angle, or motion. Once you’re happy, download or share your MP4 in just a few clicks. Learn more about generating videos.
Your Creative Cloud, Adobe Express, Firefly, or Adobe Stock subscription includes monthly generative credits that give you access to content creation features powered by Firefly. Find out more about generative credits.
Firefly is bringing the power of generative AI to global audiences by supporting over 100 languages for text prompt inputs. For audio and video translation, Firefly supports over 20 languages.
The newer generation of image generation models within Firefly produces higher quality images, better interpretation of prompts, and more accurate text in images.
As part of our work to design Firefly to be commercially safe, we trained our first Firefly model on licensed images from Adobe Stock and public domain content where copyright has expired.
We also provide our customers with the ability to train their own Custom Models so they can easily generate content with their own styles, subjects and/or brand language.
No. Adobe Stock's editorial content is not used to train Adobe Firefly's generative AI models.
No. We do not train on any Creative Cloud subscribers’ personal content. For Adobe Stock contributors, the content is part of the Firefly training dataset, in accordance with Stock Contributor license agreements.
We have developed and deployed generative AI at Adobe in accordance with our AI ethics principles of accountability, responsibility, and transparency. Read about AI ethics at Adobe to learn more about our approach and commitment to developing generative AI in a way that respects our customers and aligns with our company values.
As part of Adobe’s effort to design Firefly to be commercially safe, we are training our initial commercial Firefly model on licensed content, such as Adobe Stock, and public domain content where copyright has expired.
Outputs from generative AI features without the beta label can be used commercially. Outputs from generative AI beta features can be used commercially unless otherwise designated in the product or elsewhere, but these outputs are not eligible for indemnification while in beta.

Cookies are small text files stored by your web browser when you use websites. There are also other technologies that can be used for similar purposes like HTML5 Local Storage and local shared objects, web beacons, and embedded scripts. These technologies help us do things like remembering you and your preferences when you return to our sites, measure how you use the website, conduct market research, and gather information about the ads you see and interact with.
You can make choices in the menu below about what cookies and other technologies you want us to use on Adobe sites when you visit them from this browser. You can always change those choices later by clicking on the Cookie Preferences link at the bottom of the page.
If enabled:
We can improve your experience by tailoring the site and the content to things we think might be of interest
We can better keep track of your preferences — like what language you prefer to use
We will better understand your likely interests so we can provide you more relevant Adobe ads and content on non-Adobe websites and in non-Adobe apps
It will help us improve the performance of our website and those of our partners who use the Adobe Experience Cloud
If disabled:
We won’t be able to remember you from session to session so the experience may not be tailored to your interests
You’ll still have access to the content of the site but certain features that depend on cookies may not function
You’ll still see ads, they just may not be as relevant to you
