Using a rich Internet application (RIA), customers and agents can browse through different policy options and request a rate quote. Through an automated process based on business rules and tapping into back-end databases, you can generate and deliver tailored quotes to customers electronically. Within the same RIA, customers encounter a seamless shift from quote to application. Traditional "forms" can be hidden to the customer, replaced by a wizard-like interface that prompts for information with relevant questions and suggestions. To further simplify the application process, the RIA provides a checklist of all the supporting documents required and prompts for missing information. Adobe solutions can also automatically prepopulate documents with customer information to help reduce errors and speed processing. If needed, forms can be saved and completed offline using free Adobe® Reader® software. Adobe solutions can also support digital signatures and overcome automation obstacles related to processes requiring wet signatures with 2D barcodes.
