The DPS Desktop tools available in InDesign CS6 include the Folio Overlays panel, Folio Builder panel, and Content Viewer for Desktop, which allow you to create and preview digital content, including brochures and annual reports with engaging elements such as 360-degree object rotation and image panoramas. Yes, InDesign CS5, CS5.5, or CS6 is required to access Digital Publishing Suite services. InDesign integrates with Digital Publishing Suite to provide an end-to-end publishing workflow. InDesign is the authoring tool required to build the .folio; the .folio is then managed in Digital Publishing Suite, bundled as an app.
Single Edition is available on Adobe.com for a one-time cost of US$395. This edition allows you to publish one app to the Apple App Store.
This pricing reflects Adobe's direct pricing for the U.S. Prices in other geographies may differ. For more details on pricing, see the buying guide.
No, at this time there is no education discount available for Single Edition.
When you are ready to publish your single-issue app to the Apple App Store, you will go into the Viewer Builder to build your Custom Viewer. You will be required to enter your serial number in the Viewer Builder Service before you can submit your final app to the App Store for approval.
Yes. If you are a freelance designer and want to publish on behalf of a client, you can do that. Simply make sure you have the appropriate Apple Developer credentials (you do not need to be a developer to get these but may be subject to Apple's terms and conditions) and a Single Edition serial number.
No. Once you publish content to the App Store with Single Edition, updates are not available to that content.
While you can use a Mac or a PC to create a .folio in InDesign and access the Folio Producer Service, a Mac is required to access the Viewer Builder Service, as currently this is a Mac-only application.
Creative agencies, design agencies, and print service providers are able to purchase Digital Publishing Suite to use it for publishing clients' content to tablet devices. Agencies can use .folio download bundles across multiple customers. The agency has the option to purchase additional .folio bundles as needed during the term of the agreement. Please note, however, that this agency model limits access to production tools, dashboards, and analytics to only the agency that purchased Digital Publishing Suite. Clients cannot be given access to the agency's Digital Publishing Suite account.
The agency model allows agencies to better serve their clients and expand their portfolio to include creation, distribution, and optimization of tablet content. Additional restrictions may apply. Contact Adobe or an Adobe authorized reseller for more information.

To learn when Viewer Builder is available for Windows, check the Digital Publishing Suite system requirements.
Once you have purchased your Single Edition serial number and redeemed it by submitting an app to the App Store, we cannot provide a refund. However, in the event that your app is rejected, you will have the opportunity to make changes to your application and resubmit it. Note that you will need to resubmit your app within one year of the original purchase date of the serial number.
