Selection and Capture module

The Selection and Capture module enables the following capabilities:

  • Selection and configuration of a form package using custom-developed rich Internet applications built with Adobe Flex®
  • Support for third-party marketing recommendation engines, rules engines, or other decision-making systems for complex form package assembly
  • An administrative console that supports the definition of form packaging rules and form template management

The Selection and Capture module includes:

Forms selection framework

Enable end users to fill in forms with this framework that supports the dynamic (data-driven/data-based) selection and display of forms. It enables PDF forms and Form Guides to be deployed on a LiveCycle server and associated with specific kinds of attributes that are used to categorize the forms. A rich Internet application is used to query end users for specific information about the kind of forms they need to complete. The framework then displays the appropriate form. Additionally, this framework includes an administrative console (with source code for customization/inclusion into another application interface) that supports the deployment of forms based on attribute association.

Decision-making and rules framework

Use code samples and documentation to integrate a third-party rules engine or custom Java code for decision-making support in rules-based document and form assembly.

Multichannel data capture framework

Support multiple client data capture channels, including custom PDF and RIA, Form Guides, and fill-and-print channel forms with barcodes.

Document assurance service

Support document assurance with document certification and digital signatures, document encryption, and document policy enforcement.

Security/authentication framework

Integrate LiveCycle with common security and identity management systems.

Data synchronization service

Support custom rich Intranet applications as the data capture interface for an enrollment application, and integrate with common data persistence systems (such as RDBMS, Spring, and EJB).

Accessibility framework

Ensure enrollment user interfaces support standard accessibility requirements (such as 508c and Americans with Disabilities Act).

Dynamic form assembly service

Dynamically assemble PDF documents and PDF fragments based on runtime available data.

Barcode form service

Automate data collection and reduce common errors in data capture forms by using 2D barcodes containing form data.

Processing and Approval module

The Processing and Approval module enables the following capabilities:

  • Validation and verification of form data by third-party custom decision-making systems and rules engines
  • Definition of dynamic data-driven workflow routing
  • Support for role-based authoring and viewing of comments associated with approval workflows

The Processing and Approval module includes:

Verification/validation framework

Build complex verification and validation workflows that support verification and validation mechanisms, including the integration of these systems with third-party systems (for credit scoring or identity verification).

Routing and approval framework

Use prebuilt workflow components for setting up an approval and routing chain or workflow. Conditional parameters (such as level of authorization or number of approvals) can be provided to deployable processes via a properties interface.

Exception processing framework

Define an exception process and conditions that can be defined per workflow or chain, including identification of escalation rules and routing based on escalations. Escalation data values are passed at runtime into the process, and the process invokes an external system based on the logic in the process.

Collaboration service (asynchronous/synchronous)

Support synchronous and asynchronous communication and collaboration, including VOIP, video sharing, and commenting inside enrollment applications.

Provisioning and Document Generation module

The Provisioning and Document Generation module enables the following capabilities:

  • Dynamically generate documents for archiving and e-mail communication based on data
  • Integrate enrollment applications with existing EII or data persistence systems
  • Build custom reporting applications with data from enrollment applications

The Provisioning and Document Generation module includes:

Data transformation service

Integrate LiveCycle ES with existing data stores to read and write data to and from LiveCycle.

Alerts and notifications framework

Invoke synchronous events using LiveCycle Data Services ES messaging and asynchronous notifications such as e-mail or creating a work list item.

Reporting framework

Integrate enrollment solutions with standard reporting systems as well as generate highly customized reports and charts.

Document generation and assembly service

Generate and personalize documents and forms based on data available only at runtime.

Archival framework

Generate archive-ready (PDF/A) content with LiveCycle Content Services ES and long-lived Enterprise Content Management systems.

Enterprise data integration framework

Integrate LiveCycle applications with existing EII infrastructure and support execution of data transformations.

Invocation service

Invoke custom Java classes or objects inside a LiveCycle ES process.

Correspondence Management

With Adobe LiveCycle ES and the Correspondence Management Solution Accelerator, your organization can automate the generation of various types of communication — from simple notifications and confirmations to more complex communications such as statements or regulatory documents — while helping to ensure compliance, integrity, authenticity, and confidentiality of personal information.
