Web 2.0 today

Flex is an Internet application framework based on Flash that enables developers to create highly expressive, interactive, and scalable rich Internet applications (RIAs). Flex applications run across platforms, within browsers, or as desktop applications and inside an enterprise or across the web. Today Flex technology powers SAP xApp Analytics with NetWeaver Visual Composer, which allows model-based rapid development and prototyping of portal applications without the need to develop any code. SAP has further integrated the Adobe Flash Platform with the NetWeaver user interface framework Web Dynpro, enabling developers to create enhanced, custom user interfaces for rich clients and on top of SAP back-end applications.
