    Michael Ramage

Professor of Architecture and Engineering, University of Cambridge

The urban population is growing rapidly, requiring us to find ways to build cities and support communities more sustainably. Join Michael Ramage, reader in architecture and engineering at the University of Cambridge, to learn how he is spearheading work that seeks to find sustainable solutions to some of society’s most “wicked” problems and challenges. Michael and his team researched the use of wooden skyscrapers and natural materials and designed an innovative, problem-based pedagogy that will infuse the next generation of students with the skills, knowledge, and mindsets required to tackle these emergent and wicked challenges.

In this session, you’ll:

  • Hear how active learning and design-led pedagogy are key to producing the next generation of problem solvers
  • Learn how Creative Cloud acts as an enabling technology
  • See examples of his students’ work
