The magic of the emerging image under the influence of light is what we see happening in the darkroom. Digitally, the image is much more than a code of zeros and ones. Is there more to an image than we can see with our eyes, and if so, how can it be revealed? A photo is a flat representation of that spatial world. With the help of technical possibilities and interaction, ways are sought to give depth back to the image and subtract sound. Join photographer Hilde Maassen as she playfully experiments with images of clouds. The process is exciting and requires creativity and out-of-the-box thinking.

In this session, you’ll:

  • Follow how one idea leads to another with sensible and then nonsensical, fun results
