How to identify fonts with Retype.

  • Open your file in Illustrator and select the image or outlined font. Select Retype from the Contextual Task Bar or go to Type > Retype and select Match Font.
  • Retype will automatically display a list of suggested fonts. Each area of text used in the image will be highlighted within a dotted line. To refresh your suggestions, click on the text you want to match.
  • Click the star next to your preferred font so you can find it easily and use it in your next project. Tip: You can favorite more than one font.
