How to use the Adobe Firefly AI video editor.
You can start to tell compelling stories with the Firefly AI video editor in these simple steps:
- Open Firefly.
Go to the Adobe Firefly homepage and select Video module > Start from scratch or Open Editor. If you’re already in the Generate Video experience, choose Edit in the Video Editor. - Access and add your generations.
Log in and open Generation History to find your earlier text-to-video outputs and established Firefly video creations. Drap and drop these clips into the primary timeline, or upload files from the Media panel. Add other shots on upper tracks for cutaways, overlays, or titles. - Trim and split your scenes.
Hover over the edge of a clip to trim your video content. Use the Split tool where you’d like to cut the clip. The main track keeps your story in order, even when shifting things around. - Add any text.
Open the Text panel and select a template to start writing. You can then edit the copy in the canvas and refine in Properties to change font, size, colour, and more. - Overlay your audio.
Drag and drop any music, voiceovers, or sound effects you want to include onto an audio track. Select your clip and go to Properties > Volume to adjust the sound levels. Time the beats and narration to play at the same time as cuts for effect. - Create new clips.
Choose Generate then type your prompt, and set the time and video size. Then hit Create. You’ll see your creation in Generation History. Move it to your timeline to extend your story with new clips. - Export.
Select Download to export your final video and pick the format you want to save it as. Your video will then be saved to your device.
