These installers install the Adobe Connect 8 Add-in for Windows, Mac and Linux. These installers are only required for organizations that do not allow their end-users to install the Adobe Connect Add-in via lightning download from the Adobe.com website. (Lightning download is not supported by Linux, so Linux users must manually install the Add-in.) Windows and Mac Add-ins are compatible with Adobe Connect 7.5 and above. Ubuntu Linux Add-ins are compatible with Adobe Connect 8 and above.

Adobe Connect Add-in for IBM® Lotus® Notes

Adobe Connect Add-in for IBM Lotus Notes is a plug-in that provides Adobe Connect users with a convenient, easy way to use Adobe Connect meeting rooms and schedule Adobe Connect meeting sessions from Lotus Notes 7.0.x (7.0.3 and greater version recommended) or Lotus Notes 8.5.
Adobe supports two different implementations for Lotus Notes 7.0.x (extension to mail template) and Lotus Notes 8.5 (Java-based plug-in). Lotus Notes administrators are advised to download the package that matches their IBM Lotus Domino/Notes version and refer to the "Installation & Deployment Guide" for deployment details.

- Adobe Connect Meeting Add-in: Meeting hosts and presenters are required to install the new Adobe Connect Meeting Add-in. Any meeting host or presenter who logs into a Adobe Connect Meeting will be prompted to install the new add-in. Alternatively, users may download the stand-alone version of the add-in installer with the following steps:

- Login to Adobe Connect Central
- Click Open under the Getting Started section on the Adobe Connect Central home page.
- Click the Downloads link
- In the area labeled Adobe Connect Add-in, click the Install Windows or Install Macintosh link, depending on your operating system
Required Actions – Licensed Customers
- Adobe Connect Server 7: Licensed users of Adobe Connect with active maintenance contracts will receive instructions on how to obtain the installer for Adobe Connect Server 7 through the Adobe Licensing Website.
- Adobe Connect Edge Server 7: Customers who have deployed separate Adobe Connect Edge Servers should be aware that there is an update to Edge Server that is also included in this release. Only run edgesetup.exe if you have deployed separate Edge Servers. Be sure to backup all your configuration files before beginning installation and clear the edge cache.
- Adobe Connect Meeting Add-in: Meeting hosts and presenters are required to install the new Adobe Connect Meeting Add-in. - Telephony adaptors Updated versions of the telephony adaptors are available on the Adobe Connect Downloads page in the support center. Users of the Premiere Global Services or Cisco telephony adaptors should download the new telephony adaptors and apply them as part of the upgrade process.
Adobe Connect Add-in for Microsoft® Outlook®
The Adobe Connect Add-in for Microsoft Outlook is now available for all supported languages. The installer is available on the Adobe Connect Downloads page in the support center.
Adobe Connect Enterprise 6 Service Pack 3 now available
Connect 6 Service Pack 3 is an update to Connect 6 that includes key bug fixes and major improvements, including a greatly improved user experience for video and screen sharing. It includes updates for all supported languages (English, French, German, Japanese, and Korean) and introduces additional language support for Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch, Italian, and Simplified Chinese. All fixes are for both Hosted and Enterprise versions unless otherwise noted.
This release also includes additional language support for Adobe Presenter (Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish) and an update to Adobe Connect Edge Server.

- Acrobat Connect Meeting Add-in
Meeting hosts and presenters are required to install the new Acrobat Connect Meeting Add-in in order to take advantage of the new enhanced screen sharing features. Any meeting host or presenter who logs into an Acrobat Connect Professional Meeting via the Acrobat Connect Meeting Add-In will be prompted to install the new add-in. Alternatively, users may download the stand-alone version of the add-in installer with the following steps:

- Access the installer by clicking the Getting Started link on the Adobe Connect Manager home page.
- Click the Downloads link.
- In the area labeled Acrobat Connect Meeting Add-in, click the Install Windows or Install Macintosh link, depending on your operating system.
Required actions Licensed customers
- Adobe Connect Enterprise Server: You must download the installer and apply Adobe Connect Enterprise 6 Service Pack 3 to your Connect server. You will need to schedule downtime as the service pack installation process requires a server restart.
All meeting hosts, presenters and participants must have Flash Player 8 or higher installed. Administrators are advised to consider this when deciding on whether or not to update to Service Pack 3 and in planning the deployment. - Visit the Adobe Connect Enterprise Server Licensed Support site.
- In the Adobe Connect Downloads section of the page, click on the Adobe Connect 6 Service Pack 3 Installer link to download the .zip file containing the installer.
- Back up your custom.ini file and any custom .jar file you might have. The installer will backup your appserv and comserv directories, but not those files.
- Unzip the package and run the installer on the Connect server machine(s).
- Reapply any customizations to custom.ini (and other configuration files), and re-install any custom .jar files.
- Restart your server after the installer is complete.
Note: This installer can only be used for new installations or upgrades from Adobe Connect 6, Adobe Connect 6 Service Pack 1, or Adobe Connect 6 Service Pack 2. When upgrading, the original installation location must be unchanged. - Adobe Connect Edge Server: Customers who have deployed separate Adobe Connect Edge Servers should be aware that there is an update to Edge Server that is also included in Service Pack 3. Adobe Presenter 6.2
Adobe Presenter 6.2 features support for two additional languages, Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish. Users in the Authors group may download the installer with the steps that follow.
Installation steps:
- Login to Adobe Connect.
- Access the installer by clicking the Getting Started link on the Adobe Connect Manager home page.
- Under the Publish Presentation section, click on the Install Adobe Presenter link.
Adobe Connect Enterprise 6 Service Pack 2 now available
Connect 6 Service Pack 2 is primarily a bug-fix update to Connect 6. It includes updates for all supported languages: English, French, German, Japanese, and Korean. All fixes are for both Hosted and Enterprise versions unless otherwise noted.
Among the most significant changes in Connect are workflow enhancements including a new option to display timestamp information in the chat pod and the ability to decline all guests requesting entry into a meeting. This release also includes an update for Adobe Presenter and Adobe Connect Edge Server
