Apply Content Credentials to photos in Lightroom

Learn how to configure and apply Content Credentials to exported photos in the Lightroom ecosystem.

What you’ll learn

Set Up Your Content Authenticity Profile

Visit the Adobe Content Authenticity website and sign in with your Adobe ID to configure your Content Credentials profile. From the Preferences page, you can connect to your social media accounts and optionally verify your identity through LinkedIn.

Inspect an Image for Content Credentials and View the Edit History

Use the Inspect tool to upload an image and check whether Content Credentials are attached. If edit activity has been included, you can also review a summary of the edits and compare the edited image to the original.

Configure Content Credentials in Lightroom

Open the Lightroom Preferences and navigate to the Export panel to choose how Content Credentials are applied to exported images. You can attach credentials directly to files, publish them to the Content Credentials Cloud, or include both options for added resilience and recoverability.

Apply Content Credentials in Lightroom on Mobile and Lightroom Web

In Lightroom Mobile, tap the Lightroom icon and select Content Credentials to configure your settings. In Lightroom on the web, open the Export preferences to enable Content Credentials and choose how they are attached to exported files.

Export Photos with Content Credentials in Lightroom Classic

When exporting photos from Lightroom Classic, use the Content Credentials options in the Export dialog to control how credentials are stored. You can choose what information is included and whether credentials are attached directly to the file, published to the cloud, or both.
