In this video, learn how to comment, markup and send PDF documents for review using Adobe Acrobat's Share feature.
Hi everyone!
My name is Angelo Montilla from www.montilladesign.com.
I'm an Adobe Certified Designer, Trainer and YouTube Content Creator.
Let's jump in and learn more about adding comments and sending for review using Adobe Acrobat.
Before going over how to send a document for comments, let's begin by marking up a PDF for feedback from a recipient.
First, I'm going to click on the Comments icon located on the right side of the screen that opens the Comments window on the right side.
Next, I'll choose the Comments icon in the Contextual Toolbar.
Now I can select some text on the page.
I'll select the main title, and you can see now I'm able to add a comment.
I'll ask, Are you okay with this main title?
Once I have the comments set, I'm just going to click Post and you can now see that my first comment appears in the Comments window.
Let's add another comment to the second page.
If I make my way to the second page, I'm going to add another comment here.
This time I'm going to choose the Draw tool, and I'm going to draw a rough circle around the product title here, and I'll make my way over to the Comments field, click in the Comments field and I'll add another comment, Is this the correct price for this product?
And once again, I'll just click Post to add the post to the Comments section.
Let's add one more comment to the next page.
If I make my way to the next page, I'm going to select the Rectangle, and I'm going to draw a rectangle around this product here and add another comment, Can you double-check the info on this product?
And once again I'll click Post to add my post to the comments section.
Once you have all the initial comments placed in the document, it's time to send for review.
To share the document for review, once it's been marked up, click the Share button located in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
You'll see various ways of sharing the document for reviewing and commenting.
First, you can add the names or emails of the recipients to send the document directly from Acrobat.
Alternatively, you can send the document for review with the third-party email or messaging app, create a link that will be copied to your clipboard, or send an email with the document attached.
You can also set who can access the PDF link.
Currently, it's set to Anyone on the internet can access and comment.
You can click the arrowhead to bring up more options, and in this window, you can change who can access this file.
But for this example, I'll leave it on Anyone on the internet with the link.
I'll just click Cancel to go back to the Share window.
For this example, let's add an email and share directly from the Acrobat app.
You can see I've gone ahead and added the email recipient to my invitation as well as a personalized message.
You also have the option of posting the message as a comment.
This will be pinned at the top of the Comment window once you click Invite.
You also want to make sure that you have People can comment on this file, turned on.
Once you have these settings, go ahead and click Invite.
That takes a few moments to process, but once it does, you'll notice in the upper right-hand corner, the recipient has been added to the document for reviewing and commenting.
Once the invitation has been sent, the recipient will receive an email to join the PDF in Acrobat on the web.
Recipients won't need an account to log in and access the link, and they'd have the same commenting and markup tools as Acrobat for desktop.
Replies, new comments and markup will appear in the Acrobat desktop version in real-time as you can see here.
You now know how to comment, markup, and share PDF documents for review with Adobe Acrobat.
Use these methods the next time you want to collect feedback on your own PDF documents.
Again, my name is Angelo Montilla, and I'll see you in the next video.
