Intro and meet author Jesús Ramirez
Meet Adobe Firefly, the all-in-one app for AI-assisted content creation, ideation, and production.
It's your AI-powered creative space where you can generate audio, images, and video from top AI models from Adobe, Google, OpenAI, and more.
I'm Jesús Ramirez, and welcome to this Adobe Firefly series, where you'll learn everything you need to start creating with these powerful AI tools.
Firefly is available as a mobile app and as a standalone website at firefly.adobe.com; and all you need to get started is a free Adobe ID.
Firefly includes a growing set of creative modules and industry-leading generative AI partner models built for creative workflows, from rapid ideation to final production.
It's designed to help you move fast, explore ideas freely, and stay in control of every creative decision.
When you land on the Firefly homepage,
Get oriented in the Firefly interface
you will see a Prompt Bar where you can generate images and videos.
Below that, you will see the What's New section highlighting what's new or trending, and this may look different each time you visit.
For a more consistent experience, start by clicking the Generate tab, then scroll down to the All features section.
From there, choose the type of media you want to create, like Image, Video, or Audio, and Firefly will reveal the relevant modules below.
Some of the most commonly used modules include Text to image,
Understand Firefly modules and models
which lets you generate images from a simple text description.
Just type what you imagine, and Firefly brings it to life.
You can then use partner models like Google Gemini Nano Banana to make natural language edits to your generations.
Generative fill allows you to remove or add objects to a photo using a brush and a short prompt, making photo edits fast and intuitive.
Text to video creates original video clips from scratch using only text.
And you can even load images as starting and ending frames to animate still images.
Enhance speech makes voice recordings sound as if they were recorded in a professional studio, automatically eliminating distracting background noise.
And Firefly Boards, which is found under Ideate.
Explore ideas with Boards and the gallery
Firefly Boards is a visual brainstorming space built with a generative AI-first mindset designed to help you explore ideas quickly.
You can organize your generations, add reference images, and build creative direction all in one place.
With the new Presets button in Firefly Boards, you don't even need to write a prompt.
Just click Presets from the Taskbar and choose one from the list.
Select your reference images from Boards, and Firefly will generate it all with just a single click.
Adobe Firefly AI models are all trained on licensed content, including Adobe Stock and public domain images, so everything you create is commercially safe and ready for client work.
Firefly also includes partner models like Google Gemini Nano Banana, FLUX Kontext Pro, and Runway, giving you more options and flexibility for generating images and video.
And be sure to check out the Gallery, where you can remix content from the community.
It's packed with user-generated creations you can use for inspiration, prompt ideas, and remixing.
Studying how others write prompts is one of the fastest ways to improve your own results.
Also, don't forget to check out the Quick actions in Firefly.
They are simple, pre-built editing tools designed to help you automate common but often time-consuming tasks such as removing backgrounds, captioning videos, and generating QR codes.
Now that you know what Adobe Firefly is and how it's organized, we'll start exploring its most powerful modules in more detail.
Whether you're here to experiment, prototype, or design final assets, Firefly makes it easy to turn ideas into reality.
Let's get started.
