[♪ music ♪] [Adobe Creative Cloud Illustrator CC] [Rufus Deuchler] Live Corners is a great new feature in Illustrator CC.
Basically, the way it works is that it allows you to create rounded corners on any shapes you create in Illustrator.
In the past that would have been applied through an effect, but now you can do it live on your art board.
Let me show you how that works.
So I'm going to make a star here, and simply by taking the Direct Selection Tool you will see that these little icons appear now at the corners.
And if I click and drag, you see that I'm able to actually create the rounded corners intuitively, right there on my art board.
But I can also select just some of the corners and change those simply by selecting one of the corners.
Or, if I select this one, I can go up here to the control panel and open the Corners panel.
I can decide whether the corner is rounded, rounded inverted, or chamfered.
I can even go in here and change the radius if I want to be numerical, very precise around my rounded corners.
I can also choose whether I want the corner to be absolute or relative roundness.
The other way I can access that same panel is by double clicking on the new icon here.
If I double click on it, it opens the Corners panel, and I can then make the choices that I need.
So as you can see, it's become much, much easier in Illustrator CC to create rounded corners. [♪ music ♪] [Adobe Creative Cloud] [Adobe]
