In this tutorial, you create with different shapes and explore different ways to edit and combine them using Shape Builder.
So, let's get started.
You can see the final logo artwork you'll create here on the right.
With the document open in the Toolbar, you can see the shape tools.
Tap to select the Rectangle Tool and come out to your document.
Now two finger pinch to zoom in a bit.
We'll start by making the base of this light bulb.
Drag to create a rectangle and you can see the sides of it in the measurement label here as you drag.

Now four shapes, you can change the fill and stroke or border.
You'll first remove the stroke.
So, tap stroke in Common Actions here, then drag left to change it to 0, essentially removing it.
To change the fill color tap Fill in the Toolbar and you can apply a saved color or mix a color.

Draw a rectangle that's wider than the circle something like this, and we'll move it, so it snaps to the circle.
So, drag it, so the bottom edge snaps with the middle of the circle, you'll see a guide.
Now, to combine them, we need to select both shapes.
So, select the Selection Tool and drag across.
In the Taskbar on the right tap Combine Shapes, and you can either use the Shape Builder to remove or combine shapes permanently or pathfinders, so the underlying shapes are still editable.
Tap Shape Builder and come out to the artwork.

As you drag, press to Touch shortcut.
This keeps the shape proportional.
Release your finger or pencil and then the Touch shortcut.
Now with polygons, to change the number of sides after it's been created, you can drag this widget on the side of the shape, down or up.
To move it into place, you can drag the shape here, and when it's aligned with the other shapes, you'll see a magenta guide.
Now to make the stroke weight or border thicker, tap Properties to open the panel and you can see there's lots of formatting options.
You can add a stroke down here by tapping the Stroke Weight and typing in a value.
You can then set a Fill by tapping Fill, similar to doing it in the Toolbar.
And to hide the Color panel, you can tap away.
Now, for the inside part, we're going to draw several rectangles and round the corners on a few of them.
Tap somewhere to deselect.
Press and hold on the Polygon Tool and select the Rectangle Tool.
Come out here and draw a rectangle that looks something like this.
When you're finished, you can then move it so that it snaps to the bottom of the polygon and it's centered, like this.
Now you'll draw a square.
Tap to select the Rectangle Tool, to draw a perfect shape, press the Touch shortcut and you can draw with the Rectangle Tool.
Now zoom in here with a two finger pinch.
To round all of the corners on a rectangle, you can simply drag the widget here.
You can also round the individual corners.
To do that, double tap the square so you can edit the corners.
Now we need to select the anchors that we want to round, so drag across these anchors to select them.
And to select this third anchor, press the Touch shortcut and drag across to add it to the selection.
Now, you can drag any of the corner widgets on these three to round them.
When you're finished, tap Done and you can drag it into place.

Last step here, we're going to copy the square, flip it and drag it over.
So, to copy the square, tap Duplicate in Common Actions.
In order to flip the shape, tap Align Options over here in the Taskbar and then tap Flip Horizontal.
You can now drag it into place, and you'll see guides show up when it's aligned.
