Tip: Compare edit styles with Versions in Lightroom mobile

Explore creative processing and save multiple versions to compare different looks for your photos.

What you’ll learn

Access Versions in Lightroom on mobile

Open a photo you’ve been editing and tap the clock icon at the top of the screen. Select Versions to view different saved edits of the current photo.

Work with auto and named Versions

Lightroom keeps track of your edits in two ways: auto Versions and named Versions . Auto Versions are automatically saved whenever you leave the Edit screen, or close the app. Named Versions are ones you create and label yourself.

Create named Versions

To save the current editing state as a named Version, open the Versions panel and choose Named, then tap Create Version. Give your version a descriptive name so you can easily compare it to different looks later.

Revert to previous edits with Auto Versions

Auto Versions let you return to earlier edits at any time, even if you did not save an editing state as a named Version. In the Auto section, choose a previously saved version and tap Apply in the upper right to restore your photo to that earlier state.
