What you’ll learn
Remove a reflection in a single step without needing selections or masking
Remove Selection separates the reflection and base image across two layers: one clean, one containing just the reflection. You have full control to decide what you want to keep or remove. Adjust the reflection back at any opacity if a little glass still feels right for the shot.
Use General Distractions to find visual clutter and improve your composition
Not every distraction is obvious until AI highlights it for you. You can see these by groups: plants, personal belongings, dust. To decide what items to keep or remove, ask yourself how the item adds to the composition. Paint away highlights for anything you want to keep, and the tool leaves those areas untouched. You call the shots on what’s pulling focus from your subject.
Tip: Hold Alt on Windows or Option on Mac while using the Remove tool to paint away highlights for areas you want to keep: your cursor switches to a minus to show you're deselecting.
Regenerate missing objects with Adobe Firefly Generative Fill
Removing distractions sometimes leave gaps that need more than a simple fill. Use the Selection Brush to select the area you want to replace, then tell Generative Fill what you want rebuild, in this case, the laptop. You can choose from the three variations and pick the result that best fits the scene.
