What you’ll learn

Set up your Content Authenticity profile

Visit the Adobe Content Authenticity website and sign in with your Adobe ID to configure your profile. From the Preferences page, you can connect social media accounts and optionally verify your identity through LinkedIn.

Inspect Content Credentials and view the edit history

Use the Inspect tool to upload an image and check whether Content Credentials are attached. When edit activity has been included, you can review a summary of edits and see how source images and Photoshop edits contributed to the final result.

Configure Content Credentials in Photoshop

Open Settings > History and Content Credentials to choose the default behavior for Content Credentials in Photoshop. From here, you can determine whether credentials are automatically enabled for new documents and how they will be handled during export.

Enable Content Credentials for Photoshop files

If a file does not already contain Content Credentials, open the Content Credentials panel and select Enable Content Credentials. You can then choose which information is included, such as your account name, connected identities, and edit activity.

Preview identity, edits, and image ingredients

Use the Preview tab in the Content Credentials panel to see exactly what information will be attached to the file. This can include verified identity details, connected social accounts, edit history, and even image ingredients used to create the final composition.

Add Content Credentials when exporting files

When exporting a file using Export As, review the Content Credentials options in the lower-right corner of the dialog box. You can attach credentials directly to the file, publish them to the Content Credentials Cloud, and preview the information before exporting.
