Introduction
Acrobat is full of useful tools, and one of them is the ability to quickly split large PDF files into smaller ones.
I'm Sarah, and if you'd like to learn how to do this, you're in the right place.
To get started, we'll navigate to the Organize pages tool and click Open.
Then find where our PDF is saved and get it imported into Acrobat.
Now we have our file laid out for us.
Divide by pages, file size, or bookmarks
In the sidebar, we'll click on Split.
In this dropdown, we're given a variety of options for how to split up the file.
We can divide it by the Number of pages - so, for example, if we set this number to 2, every two pages will be split into its own PDF.
We can also split by File Size if you have that information available to you, or by Top level bookmarks.
If we want to get more specific about how we're dividing this file, we can do that under Output options.
The default location for where the new files will be saved is the same folder containing the original file, but here we can specify a different one.
We can also make some changes to how the files are named, so we can easily keep track of each one.
Split multiple PDFs at once
If we have multiple PDFs we want to split, we can add the other files here in the Split multiple files menu.
All the options we've selected will then apply to all the included files.
Once we're done choosing our options, we'll click Split.
Acrobat will save the new files in the folder we specified.
And there we go, we have successfully divided the PDF.
Thanks for watching.
