The built-in Effect inputs in Adobe Firefly allow you to completely change the look and feel of your generated content with just a few clicks.
My name is Jesús Ramirez.
In the next few minutes I'm going to show you how to use the built-in Effects feature to generate great looking images in Adobe Firefly's Text to image module.
From the Firefly website at www.firefly.adobe.com, enter a prompt in this box, or scroll down and click the Text to image card.
From this page, you can choose one of the sample prompts or enter one of your own in this box.
I'll go with, a cute cat under a tree.
Then I'll click Generate.
The four generations look great, but you can use the controls on the left to create images with the look and feel you have in mind.
By default, Firefly will select the Content Type based on your prompt.
In this case, it shows Photo, and the variations are all photorealistic.
But if you prefer an illustration, you can choose Art and Generate again.
Now we have four illustrations.
Next, scroll down the panel to the Styles section where you will find the Visual intensity slider.
It controls how stylized the generations will look.
When you drag the slider to the far right and Generate the variations are much more stylized.
Compare that to when you drag the slider to the far left and Generate.
The results are now simple illustrations.
For this example, I will set the slider to default at the center.
Now let's scroll down to the Effects section.
From here, you can use one or more of these buttons to apply powerful styles to your generation.
You can choose from style categories like Themes, Techniques and Effects.
I'll start by clicking on the Materials category and choosing Layered paper.
Notice how the selected effect appears below the prompt.
When I Generate, all the resulting variations will have the Layered paper effect and we didn't have to change the prompt.
This is the power of the built-in Effects inputs.
Best of all, you can combine multiple effects.
I'll remove the Layered paper effect.
Then from the Themes category, I'll choose Cartoon and Flat design.
And from the Techniques category, I'll choose Paint splattering.
Then I'll Generate.
Now we have four beautiful illustrations in a Cartoon flat design with paint splatters.
And we can also apply the settings from these dropdowns.
For this image, I'll go into Color and tone dropdown and choose Pastel color.
Then I'll Generate.
Again, the results are all incredible.
Now that you know how to use the built-in Effect inputs to generate great looking images in Adobe Firefly, try it with your generations.
Again, my name is Jesús Ramirez.
Thank you for watching.
