What’s new

Besides performance and stability enhancements, this release includes following new update:

  • Modified access to storage permissions: With the recent Android OS changes in access to user permissions, the Acrobat app now allows users to enable device storage permissions from the app itself. Refer to General device permissions for more details.

What’s new

This release includes the following new features:

  • Improved Compress PDF: Acrobat’s premium subscription feature Compress files now supports high, medium, and low compression levels. You can select a desired compression level to reduce the size of the PDF file for easy sharing.

  • Upgraded Facebook Login: Starting October 5th, users need to upgrade to the latest version of Acrobat Android to be able to sign in with a Facebook ID. To sign-in using Facebook, users must install Facebook app or a browser, such as Chrome.

What’s new

This release includes minor updates in the app’s user interface and the following new feature:

  • Open PDFs from Gmail: You can now access all the PDF files from an associated Gmail account to open one or more PDFs in Acrobat. You can Open PDF from Emails to view the details, edit the file, share the file, and more.

  • Modify shared files: Acorbat Reader app now allows you to create a copy of shared files to modify them.

System requirements changes

Acrobat Reader app no longer supports Android OS Version 6.0 or earlier.

Known issues and bugs

  • You may not be able to use the Combine Files feature for PDFs on Google Drive or Dropbox. [28077]

  • You may not be able to access PDF files shared via WhatsApp. [27132]
