What’s new

This release includes the following new features:

  • No Sign-in required to review shared files in Acrobat Reader: With this release, you can Review files and comments added without signing in. You are required to sign in once you try to add comments or reply to a comment in the shared file.

  • The allow comments toggle is set on by default: With this release, the allow comments toggle is set on by default. You don’t need to turn it on specifically while sharing for review to allow the receivers to comment.

This release includes the following new features:

  • Edit scanned files: You can now edit text in a scanned PDF. Note that the file you want to edit should be entirely scanned and not a mix of text and scanned components. The edit scanned PDF is currently for Latin languages only. See how to Edit text on scanned files.

  • Open hyperlinks directly from the PDF: You can open a hyperlink embedded in a PDF directly by tapping it, making the process easier.

  • Enhanced Searchable OCR for latin languages: You can now use searchable OCR for scanned documents in French, German, Italian, Portuguese, English, and Spanish.

  • Customized Liquid Mode preferences: You now see a prompt that allows you to use the Liquid Mode or dismiss it if you want to continue using standard mode. You can now choose to remember your Liquid Mode preference directly from the prompt.

  • Easily attach Acrobat files while using other apps: You can now enable the Acrobat Reader settings to view and access your files for sending them as attachments via other apps.
