How to create content that connects.
Everyone talks about what to post but Sophie Miller, founder of Pretty Little Marketer, believes the real magic happens before you even open the app. With a community of over 700,000 marketers and creators, she’s learned that your mindset fuels your best ideas. In this guide, Sophie shows how curiosity, mood, and creative routine can transform not just your content, but how it connects.
Consistency isn’t confinement - it’s creative freedom. The more decisions you make upfront, the more space you create to focus on the story you’re telling.
Sophie Miller builds that freedom through her Brand Kit in Adobe Express. It’s a space where all her fonts, colours and logos live together, ready to bring her brand’s identity to life in a single click.
Start from Home or the Editor and navigate to Brands. Select Create brand and then give your kit a name - your personal brand, your business, or a client project.
Upload your logos, then add your signature colours using Hex codes or the Eyedropper tool to pull tones from existing designs.
Next, choose your go-to fonts — the typefaces that anchor your brand’s visual identity.
Now, every time you open a new design, apply your Brand Kit and watch your colours and fonts populate automatically. Suddenly, every post reflects your brand.
Creativity starts with curiosity. Sophie deliberately consumes content outside her niche and ensures she captures it in Adobe Express to create something tangible and actionable.
From the Adobe Express homepage, select the plus icon and choose a custom or preset page size. Then in the Editor head to the left panel to find Charts and grids and choose your desired grid layout.
Select Add content then Media to browse through thousands of Adobe Stock images to find an image that captures how something felt and what grabbed your attention. You can also use Generate Image to translate what inspired you visually from a simple text prompt. Add stickers, elements, and notes to record what drew you in or how you might use it later.
You’ve now built an exploratory mood board - a snapshot of what’s shaping your creative lens. Explore and experiment freely. The more diverse your inputs, the richer and more original your brand’s output will become.
Every post carries the energy it was made in. If you’re stressed, reactive, or unsure, your audience will feel it too. Sophie uses Content Scheduler in Adobe Express not just for organisation, but for reflection and it’s saved her reputation more times than she can count.
From the Adobe Express homepage, select Schedule in the left panel.
Design your visual, write your caption, then resist the urge to post immediately. Instead, schedule it for tomorrow.
When you revisit your post, you might refine the tone, add a new thought, or edit with fresh clarity.
With the intuitive calendar you can plan out your content with an emotional buffer. Because your audience deserves your best thoughtful thinking, not just your impulsive reactions.
