Make clean cutouts.

Natasha uses the Quick Selection tool to quickly isolate subjects from their backgrounds until she has a wide variety of imagery to work with.

Layer elements.

She scales and rotates her cutouts with handy Transform tools, working on layers in front of and behind the portrait to add depth and interest.

Play with colour.

Natasha uses a vibrant, textured shape to highlight the focal point in the collage. Finally, she adds Adjustment layers to fine tune colours and bring it all together.
