Yes, you can install plug-ins and extensions directly from the Marketplace tab in the Creative Cloud desktop app with both operating systems including M1 processors. All supported third-party plug-ins can be found here.

Yes, you can install Premiere Pro, After Effects and Audition on computers powered by the Apple M1 chip. They run with Rosetta 2 technology. It may take longer at first for the applications to open while Rosetta 2 translates them for use on your M1 computer. You can find out more here.

Premiere Pro supports a wide range of devices and applications for macOS and Windows. Thanks to the wide range of workstations and digitisation cards, you can put together your editing system according to your own requirements. Optimise your system with additional plug-ins, e.g. from Adobe After Effects. Premiere Pro is compatible with many third-party capture cards and decks. Extensive video format support lets you edit almost any file without transcoding or conversion. Premiere Pro offers native support for the latest tapeless formats. Edit all standard or HD formats from DV and HDV to HD. Some formats may require additional hardware.

Yes, in order to use animation templates created in After Effects, you must have a trial or licensed version of After Effects installed on your computer. If you have a Creative Cloud subscription, you already have an After Effects licence. 

If you have a single product licence for Premiere Pro, you do not need a paid licence of After Effects. Instead, you can install the After Effects trial subscription. After the trial period expires, animation templates created in After Effects can continue to be used as long as the expired trial subscription remains installed on your computer.
