The Picturepark UI is based on Swiss design principles that make it easy to use view for extended sessions. Rich, high-resolution previews are provided for bitmapped and vector image formats. Multipage previews are available for PDFs, Adobe InDesign files, and even Microsoft Word and PowerPoint documents. Support for any number of metadata fields is included. Picturepark’s Adaptive Metadata technology makes it possible to define metadata schema for various asset classes, rather than being locked into a single schema across the system. Support for multiple taxonomies and controlled vocabularies is standard.
Integrations are available for SharePoint, Dropbox, TYPO3, WoodWing, and more. Desktop connectors are available for Adobe creative products and Microsoft Office. The Picturepark web services API enables developers to build additional integrations and custom interfaces based on HTML5/CSS.
The value of XMP technology: Adobe XMP technology enables Picturepark to integrate with external services, software, and workflows in a manner that ensures error-free metadata processing and inter-application transmission.
“By leveraging XMP as a metadata transport vehicle, Picturepark is able to offer customers its unique Adaptive Metadata schema design, while making it possible to embed standard and nonstandard metadata into outbound files.”
